  • Kitesurf & Windsurf

    One of the best places to learn and train. From mid-October to mid-April, the north wind is more consistent than other Baja locations due to the Venturi effect created by Cerralvo Island to effect of the rising hot air from the desert peninsula to our south. The wind usually blows all day with calm mornings and evenings for other activities or relaxing.

  • The Beach

    Located in La Ventana Bay, in
    El Sargento; with an incredible view of Cerralvo Island in the sea of Cortez, is a perfect place to launch a kite or windsurf, we have a beutiful sandy beach and very private, also you can enjoy our palapa on the beach if you like to be out of the sun.

    Palapas la choya unique location offers our guess the opportunity to sample various local activities includin deep see fishing, so if you like to fish let us know and will be delight to set you up for your next fishing experience.

  • Scuba Dive

    Scuba dive in the clear waters of the warm Sea of Cortez and experience the colorful fish and marine life that lie beneath the surface. Join us for a scuba diving trips where we will venture out to some of our favorite dive sites. The water temperature is warm all year-round making diving enjoyable for all. If you have the chance, you should try to make it down here for the La Ventana Classic.

This tournament attracts some of the best kiters from Mexico, USA, and Europe. Top kite companies take up this great opportunity to set up their new gear and have a successful week of demos open to the public.

The tournament includes kite race, course racing, freestyle contest and paddleboard race.

If you are a confidant kiter and like being involved, you should enroll in the race and have fun with it. It is a great experience even if you aren't going for the gold.

If you are an advanced kiter who would like to begin competing in tournaments and trying to get your name out there, this is a great place to start. You will get to know many other kiters like you, have a chance to test different gear and meet a few people who could help you reach your goals.

The tournament week is full of organized activities that are open to anyone who signs up, such as wakeboarding, arroyo golf, and other fun contests. The Awards Night is held in a local restaurant with great drinks, live music and packed with kiters.

Part of the proceeds go to supervised improvements at the local public schools. The La Ventana Classic has helped the local community the last seven years and plans on continuing the tradition.
